Smoky Quartz Pendant – Argentium Silver Cage – 93 Carats
This 93-carat smoky quartz is set within a cage-style Argentium Silver 940 design. Instead of a traditional bail, I created an open structure that allows the chain to pass directly through the bars. As a result, the pendant hangs securely and stays aligned on the neckline.
Before forming the cage, I textured the silver with lace. Because of this, the surface holds subtle pattern and depth. Moreover, the open framework supports large stones more effectively than a standard bail. Therefore, the pendant can be worn either horizontal or vertical while remaining balanced.

The cage structure emphasizes clean lines and visible support. In addition, the lace texture softens the geometry with fine detail. Overall, the piece feels strong, architectural, and intentional within the STRUCTURE collection.

I texture the silver with lace before forming the cage structure. Then I shape and solder the framework to support the stone securely. After that, I refine the edges and set the quartz in place. Finally, I attach the Omega chain for a stable, rounded neckline fit.
