Tourmilated Quartz Pendant – Argentium Silver Filigree
I create this pendant in solid Argentium Silver 940. First, I form a detailed filigree bezel to frame the stone. Then I set the oval cabochon Tourmilated Quartz securely within the design. The open silverwork surrounds the stone and allows light to enter from multiple angles.
Tourmilated Quartz is formed when tourmaline inclusions grow inside quartz. As a result, dark needle-like strands appear suspended within the clear body. Moreover, the filigree setting complements the natural linear inclusions. The overall form remains clean and structured within the STRUCTURE collection.
Design & Feel
This piece reflects precision and detail. The filigree adds delicacy and pattern. In contrast, the bold inclusions introduce natural geometry. Together, they create balance between refinement and raw formation.

Materials & Care
This piece is made in Argentium Silver 940. Argentium silver is brighter and harder than traditional sterling. In addition, it is nickel-free and slower to tarnish.

I fabricate the filigree bezel by hand and shape it to the oval stone. Then I solder and refine the structure. After that, I set the Tourmilated Quartz securely in place. Finally, I heat-treat the piece to increase strength and improve tarnish resistance.
