Description
This Twig Necklace with Byzantine Chain blends two classic designs in one piece. Each twig panel is made from bits of Argentium silver that I fuse together, forming natural, branch-like shapes. The panels are then connected with sections of Byzantine chain, woven link by link to create flexibility and movement.
Design & Feel
The combination of twigs and Byzantine links gives the necklace both texture and rhythm. The twig panels add organic form, while the chain brings structure and flow. Because of this balance, the necklace feels easy to wear for every day yet elegant enough for a special occasion. Argentium Heat & Finish
Each panel and chain section is heat-treated to form the germanium oxide layer that strengthens Argentium 940 silver. This step helps resist tarnish and keeps the silver bright. After cooling, I polish the surface to bring out contrast between the smooth chain and textured twigs.
