This White Topaz Buttonhole ring blends precision with strength. The oval-cut 8-carat gemstone sits deep within a bold silver form. Its clear brilliance glows against the smooth surface of Argentium 940 silver.
Design & Feel
The Buttonhole design remains one of our best sellers. It’s balanced, comfortable, and ideal for a large gemstone. The silver band curves around the stone and doubles back to form the ring. I hammer the edge to widen the front and give extra silver weight and presence.
Argentium Heat & Finish
Because this ring is made with Argentium silver, I then heat-treat the piece to activate the germanium oxide layer. This treatment raises hardness and increases tarnish resistance. After the treatment, I set the White Topaz in the bezel and give a final polish for clarity and shine.

This natural White Topaz is oval-cut and weighs 8 carats. Its bright, colorless clarity reflects surrounding light, creating a brilliant sparkle. The open design allows the stone to sit low while staying secure and easy to wear.

Learn More (Making Process)
Each Buttonhole ring begins as formed silver sheet shaped into a curve. I solder the band, hammer the top edge to create its unique opening, and refine the shape for comfort. After heat-treating and setting the gemstone, I give a mirror polish to complete the design.
