Copper Sail Over Moon Earrings – Small

These Copper Sail Over Moon Earrings feature a solid copper moon suspended beneath a textured copper sail. I hand cut the moon from solid copper sheet, then etch its surface for subtle detail. Next, I shape and texture the sail so it sits above the moon with clear direction and structure.

In these Copper Sail Over Moon Earrings, the solid circle represents the moon. Meanwhile, the sail introduces lift and movement. As a result, the layered forms feel balanced and warm. The etched surface catches light, while the smooth curves keep the design clean.

I assemble the components carefully to maintain alignment and proportion. Then I attach handmade Argentium silver earwires for strength and comfort. The mixed metals create contrast between the rich copper tones and the bright silver finish.

Because these Copper Sail Over Moon Earrings are made from solid copper, they remain 100% nickel-free. Over time, shiny copper will naturally tarnish. However, you can restore brightness using a polishing cloth or fresh lime. If you prefer the aged look, allow the surface to deepen naturally.
