Ametrine is an unusual and beautiful gemstone. Ametrine is created when Amethyst is forming in a geode, then the mineral content shifts, and Citrine begins to form. Ametrine is half Amethyst and half Citrine in one naturally formed gemstone. This Ametrine is 24.4 carats, mined in Bolivia, and cut in a long rectangle and mounted in a bezel setting.
